The woodwinds are introduced during the Beginning Band concert. 

Among the audience was Ferris Jarrar's aunt and cousin.

Ferris with his trumpet. I don't believe I've heard a beginning band that sounded as good as they did three months after first picking up their instruments. Kudos to the band and their teacher.
