Prague, Czech Republic

The old town square at night ...

Nearby an artist has created a sculpture of Good KIng Wenceslaus riding a dead, upside-down horse. He was king of Bohemia — which Prague is a part — 903-935 AD. He would ride out among his people and good things would happen. This is Bohemia, and the joke of the king riding a dead horse is a bit off center.

Street vendors in the square. The young woman, above, bakes cinnamon twists over hot coals. The man, below, grills sausages and vegetables..

I've misplaced the information on this restaurant and will fill it in later. We ate in basement dining rooms which were built in the 10th Century for the Knights of Malta. They had a secret tunnel between the those rooms and the nearby cathedral they guarded.
