Chicago, Illinois
Religious Communicators Congress

The hands of Ken Medema grace the keyboards. I first encountered Medema 30 years ago at a conference in Georgia. He is an incredible an incredible talent. He is also blind ...

... my children wore the grooves out a couple of records of his when they were young.

This image is close to becoming a cliche for me. But guitarists fingering and picking — and hands in general — are a fascination for me.

Mitch Albom — the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and Have a Little Faith — spoke at the conference this evening and signed books for participants, including Ralph Singh.

One of my images was picked up and critiqued by Gary Fong on Among my colleagues, a critique by Fong is called "Running the gauntlet." He's tough. Fong is a Pulitzer judge and a close friend. I think he let me off easy ... and for the record, we are both old ... sorry Gary.
