Short Pump, Virginia & Chicago, Illinois
Short Pump
Easter Sunday

Sadie prepares for her Sunday in her favorite chair. It will be no such day for me ... no Easter bonnets ... no baskets ... no worship service ... no lounging  in a red chair ... just  ...

Chicago

... cramped seats on serial commuter flights to Chicago for a professional conference. On approach to O'Hare field coming in north of the city over Lake Michigan, the high rises that mark downtown are far in the distance.

Soon after landing thunderstorms roll over the city. This evening Jennifer, left, and I find a fun restaurant called Buca di Beppo — where they parade you through the kitchen to say hello to the chef and his cooks before seating you — just a short dash through the rain from our hotel while waiting for others to arrive. Breanne, right, our server settles in and explains the menu. Yes, it was a great place to eat.

Mirrors make everything look bigger ... even elevator cars.
