Sandston & Short Pump, Virginia

I finally make to it to Richmond International Airport, located east of the city in Sandston, two days later than planned. At baggage claim is Ki-Wan, good friend and colleague, fresh off the red eye from Seattle. To his right is the young woman who — much to her chagrin — fell asleep on my shoulder during the flight from Atlanta.

First stop: Daily Grind. The shuttle won't take me home because of the condition of residential streets after Saturday's snow, so they drop me here. Jenine immediately appropriates my hat and new scarf to vamp about the coffee shop.

Once again I missed playing in the snow with the Jeep. This is the second major snowstorm this season and I've been out of town for both. Remnant snow covering the top gives some idea of the amount that fell on Saturday.
