Dillwyn & Richmond, Virginia

Dillwyn

Sadie on a walk outside Dillwyn, an old gold mining town 70 miles west of Richmond.

A ground spider's web bejeweled by morning dew.

It doesn't feel like summer anymore. Fall is a few days away. There is a brisk wind. Milkweed is spreading its seed ...

... the little chutes torn from stalks and carried off in the wind.

Old rails still carry freight — occasionally passengers on special trains —some are scheduled over the next few weeks until Christmas.

Richmond
The Fan

Paul Steinberg has an opening this evening at the Zeus Gallery Cafe in the Fan district. His work hangs throughout the restaurant/gallery.

Many of Paul's friends and artist colleagues are in attendance including Jenine, center, here with her parents Sam, left, and Alison, right.
